In 2004 there was taken a decision to build the largest Russian woodworking enterprise specialized on deep processing of birch – “AVA company”.

Building and construction works were started in an industrial area of Omsk city, in the territory of the building yard of the preserved TPP-6, and also in Atak branch, Omsk region.

Autumn, 2006, the frame sawing line EWD, German origin, with the capacity up to 60 thousand cubic meter of birch roundwood per year was started. The first trial lot of unedged birch lumber was manufactured. The number of workers in the second quarter of 2006 was 278.

May, 2007, the own railway adjoining to the warehouse was put in operation. Since that time the company has an opportunity to ship up to 6 wagons at once.

August, 2007, the planning equipped with the quadrilateral planning machine tools from WEINIG, Germany, was started. The production capacity is more than 25 thousand cubic meter per year of planned lumber.

September, 2007, the reconstruction of the industrial buildings and the equipment in Atak branch was finished. The sawing capacity of the branch is more than 40 thousand cubic meter per year of birch roundwood.

On the 15th of November, 2007, the opening ceremony of the plant took place. The newest sawing complex by EWD, Germany, on the base of the bandsawing equipment with the input capacity of 50 thousand cubic meter of birch roundwood and a drying complex with the total contemporaneous capacity of 1200 cubic meter were started.

The opening of the second branch “Sedelnikovsky”, Omsk region, was coincided to the day of start-up of the plant. The infrastructure for the functioning of the industrial log depot as a branch, including power supply, telephone, radio- and a satellite communication, the Internet, was made.

Thus, less than within a year (from the moment of the first stage start-up) the unique woodworking enterprise with all necessary infrastructure and own source of roundwood had been built and started in Omsk. The enterprise combines: - Harvesting;

- Sawing and drying;

- Primary processing of dried birch lumber;

- Deep processing of wood: production of birch dimension components and birch finger jointed and edge glued panels.

AVA company became the first enterprise in Russia possessing the technology of drying of birch in commercial measure, excluding the subsequent deformations within operation.

March, 2008, the company became a member of the National Hardwood Lumber Association (NHLA).

May, 2008, the first shipments of high-grade lumber for the USA market took place. This fact serves as the conclusive evidence of that that foreign buyers have confirmed a high quality of our products known in the market as the trade mark «Russian Birch». At the same time the first shipment of the FLEG panels to Austria took place.

August, 2008, large-scale shipments of dimension components were effected. Among our buyers there were furniture trend setters – the furniture enterprises of Italy.

October, 2008, the first shipment of dimension components to Czech Republic, to the furniture manufacturer for the world known group IKEA was done. This month the company took part in two exhibitions: - The annual NHLA Convention and Exhibition Showcase 2008 in San Francisco, the USA. - The international exhibition W8 Working With Wood 2008, Birmingham, Great Britain.

November, 2008, mechanized harvesting equipment on the base of two new tractors by international concern John Deer started to work.

December, 2008, the plant started the round-the-clock mode of operation. The same month the company successfully passed the certification of the furniture panel. The compliance certificate № 0932804 was obtained.

On the 15th of December, 2008, The company participates in the international exhibition WOODEX 2008, Moscow, Russia.

As of February, 2009, the sum of investments into the enterprise amount to 65 million US dollars. The harvesting capacities have reached the level of 180 thousand cubic meter per year, sawing – 140 thousand cubic meter per year, woodworking – 70 thousand cubic meter per year.

The total amount of wood resources of the enterprise are about 9.5 million cubic meters of stumpage. The prevailing breed of wood is birch. The general capacity of own harvesting is more than 250 thousand cubic meters per year. The amount of the workers in the enterprise was 625.

April, 2009, the flooring line SHROEDER, Germany, for production of a birch solid flooring (parquet and a massive flooring board) was started.

On the 18th of June, 2009, certificates for a block parquet № 1084910 and for a massive flooring board № 1084911 were obtained.

June, 2009, the company participates in the international exhibition 14 International Furniture Woodworking Machinery, Components and Raw Materials, Dalian, China.
June, 2009, the shareholders of CJSC “AVA company” came to the decision of the additional investments into production capacities.
In the beginning of September, 2009, the first shipment of the large consignment of the parquet to the USA market was done.

September - October, 2009, the production extends in several directions: - start of the second stage of furniture panel workshop (all equipment - of German firm WEINIG) is made. With the commissioning of new capacities the total output of the birch furniture panel has grown to 5 000 cubic meter per year;

- installation and start of the additional drying complex of Austrian firm MUHLBOCK with the total amount of 240 cubic meter for one loading;
- thermal chambers for thermo heated birch production have been started in operation;

- a workshop for furniture production from solid birch on the basis of the processing line of Italian firm BACCI has been started in a start-up operation mode.

September, 2009, “AVA company” has successfully passed the FSC certification. Certificate GFA-FM/COC-001729 was obtained.
